Rules
Rule 1: No Harassment
a) No hate speech, i.e. harassment based on gender, gender identity, sex, appearance, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, age, disability, neurodivergence, immigration status, or nationality, shall be permitted. This includes unironic use of slurs or support of hate groups. Offensive and oppressive views are not allowed.
b) Treat others with respect. No manipulating, exploiting, or harassing any individual.
c) Hostility towards other members will not be tolerated. Incendiary language is subject to immediate deletion of the post.
d) While political discussion is allowed, political fights are prohibited. If you wish to engage in honest debate, please respect each individual’s views so long as they are not offensive or oppressive. Any potential violation of rule 1(b) should be reported directly to the admins for investigation.
e) Sexual assault (as defined in NRS 200.366) by members will not be tolerated in or out of chat and will result in immediate removal.
Rule 2: No Spam or Scams
a) All suspected spam accounts and any user who endorses a scam or who is found defrauding or attempting to defraud another member may be immediately removed from this group. If you believe this is a mistake, please appeal to any admin over DM.
b) Advertising for legitimate art or craft commissions by a member or on behalf of a friend of a member is permitted. Advertising on behalf of a small business owned by the same or a nonprofit is also permitted.
c) Advertising on behalf of a large business (herein defined as any business with more than 30 employees), an unaffiliated business, or any multilevel marketing company is prohibited. Satirical advertisements do not fall under this rule.
d) No bots without admin approval.
e) Any content created via machine learning (ML, colloquially known as “AI”) must be properly tagged as such. Mods will take no action against users who post ML content unknowingly beyond deleting the post in question.
Rule 3: Obey Mods
a) Obey mod instructions. Mods reserve the right to discipline any user for not obeying instructions in chat regardless of whether the user’s actions break a listed rule or not.
b) Members are to make a good faith attempt to follow both the letter and spirit of these rules. In return, mods are to assume that all members who break a rule are acting in good faith until shown otherwise.
Rule 4: No Adult Content
a) No explicit content of any kind, written, copied, drawn, or otherwise. Keep things PG-13 at most.
Enforcement Policy
Warnings
Unless otherwise noted, users will be given one verbal warning and three formal warnings for any rule violation. After the third warning, the offending member will be indefinitely banned from the chat. Formal warnings reset at the start of the calendar year or at the issuing mod’s discretion.
Mods may also choose to temporarily ban a member for between three and thirty days in lieu of a formal warning.
Appeals
Any decision made by a mod may be appealed to any other mod over DM.
Indefinite bans may be lifted by a majority vote in the committee.
Out-of-chat claims
Generally, the Moderation Committee will not act on rule violations outside of chat except for cases of sexual assault or in cases where the immediate safety of one or more members of the chat is in question.
For claims of rule violations out-of-chat, the Moderation Committee will privately investigate the claim and, if there is a preponderance of evidence that the claim is legitimate, may move to indefinitely ban the offending member by majority vote.

The Moderation Committee serves to enforce the rules and keep the chat an enjoyable place for all. Currently, it consists of the following members:
